Meet our School Staff

At Moneyrea we have a caring and supportive staff team.

Our eight teachers and five classroom assistants pull together to provide the best possible education for our pupils.

Let me introduce them to you :

Mrs Riordan is Head of Foundation Stage and is our Primary 1 teacher.

Her room is an Aladdin's cave of learning and fun. Mrs Riordan teaches us that we are all friends in P1.

Mrs Riordan helps us when we find our work difficult. She is a great reader and has thousands of books to look after.

Mrs Floyd teaches Primary 2 and is responsible for keeping us fit! Mrs Floyd is always on the look-out for 'whispering workers'. She likes to sing to her class, "Eyes on me!", which must be very stressful for the wee P2s!

Mrs Floyd knows all sorts of interesting stuff and she is in charge of the World Around Us (that's a big responsibility!) and the big green science trolley!

(She coaches the netball team and still plays competitive hockey .....amazing !!)

Miss Somerville teaches Primary 3. She is our newest teacher and Moneyrea is her first teaching post.

Miss Somerville is very musical and can whistle lots of tunes. She is in charge of the school choir and musical productions.

Her catchphrase is; "P3 FREEZE!"

Mrs Givans is our Vice Principal and Head of Key Stage 1. She teaches Primary 4 and helps to keep Mr Greer organised!

Mrs Givans is really good at hard sums and a multitude of other things!

She also happens to be the school's longest serving teacher and the only person who knows how to plug in a computer!

Mrs Givans likes to get away on Comenius trips!!

Mrs Kelly teaches Primary 5. She is really good at finding places on a map and helps to coordinate the teaching of Geography.

She knows all sorts of cool french words and is the second best French speaker in the school , next to .......Monsieur Greer... NON!!!

Miss Daly joined the school in September 2005 and teaches Primary 6.  Miss Daly coordinates Art , History and PSHE. She is also responsible for the World Around Us (Wow!)

Miss Daly coaches the boys' football team and inspite of her tastes in football teams she is very knowledgeable about the beautiful game.

Miss Daly's room is always very tidy and the picture displays are always very straight .....just the way Mr Greer likes it!

Mrs Sullivan teaches Primary seven three days a week. She rests up on the other four days! And after being with P7 for 3 days ..... who can blame her?

Mrs Sullivan is a bit of a whiz on the old computer and she's pretty good on the new ones too!
As you can tell from the picture Mrs Sullivan's favourite topic is CHOCOLATE!!

Miss Anderson teaches P7 on Thursday and Friday. She has recently returned to Moneyrea PS after a year out in Australia. She came home because she missed the rain and snow.

Miss Anderson is a great exponent of the Ulster Scots' language ---- HA, HA!

Mr Greer is our school Principal and is responsible for ...... well .... we don't really know!

He only teaches P7 for one hour a week - and this leaves him totally destroyed!!

Mr Greer supports the best team in Manchester, oh yes, and now the biggest and wealthiest team on  the planet ... MANCHESTER CITY.... of course!

Unlike this animation Mr Greer has a fine head of hair .... very fine indeed!
